Ingredients
8oz (225g) Butter
8oz (225g) Self raising flour
4 Eggs
1 pint Milk
1 tin Carnation milk (410g)
8oz (225g) Granulated sugar
1 tsp Almond essence (can substitute for vanilla)
1 tsp All Spice (can substitute for mixed spice)
Large handful of Glace Cherries halved
Preparation
Melt Butter in little bit of oil in a large pan then sift Flour into it. Stir continuously over medium heat till it is golden
Mix all other ingredients together in a bowl with electric whisk
Pour bowl of other ingredients into the pan. Stir occasionally while it is wet. Once it begins to dry, stir continuously.
When it becomes drive and fluffy it's ready. Mix in Glace cherry halves.
