Pancakes

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Self-raising flour

  • 10 ounces Sugar

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 pint milk

  • Splash of water

  • 1 tbsp vanilla essence

Preparation

  1. Mix all ingredients together and whisk with electric whisk 

  2. Make pancakes in a frying pan:

  • Brush a little oil or melted butter in the pan before cooking each pancake

  • Pour 1 ladle of pancake mixture into the pan and use the ladle to round it off

  • The pancake is cooked on one side when there are many bubbles and it's possible to separate it from a pan with a spatula - turn it over to the other side

  • The second side should cook much faster
