Ingredients
250g Split peas (wash and soak for whole day)
1 medium Onion
2 cloves of Garlic
1 tsp of Dhaniya (coriander) powder
1/2 tsp Haldi (Turmeric) powder
1/4 tsp of Chilli powder
Selfraising flour (same volume as Split peas after it been ground)
1/2 tsp Baking powder
Salt to taste
Preparation
Grind the split peas, onion and garlic (with little bit water).
Add everything else and mix. It should be runny but not too thin.
Heat oil in deep fryer. Drop little bits of batter in the oil either with hands or a teaspoon. Deep fry until golden (like pakora). Pholourie should be 1 inch diameter.
